About

Tivoli is a specialty coffee brand that sources beans from some of the world’s most remote and culturally rich regions — Colombia, Ethiopia, Uganda, Vietnam, and Brazil. Founded by coffee enthusiasts, the brand was born out of a desire to share not only exceptional coffee, but the stories, textures, and mystique of places that are otherwise hard to reach. Tivoli is an invitation to explore — one cup, one story, one origin at a time.

Challenge

The goal was to build a brand identity and packaging system that elevates Tivoli above the saturated coffee market — one that appeals to connoisseurs, evokes the wonder of travel, and feels crafted yet premium. We needed to translate a deeply emotional and geographically diverse narrative into a visual language that feels both sophisticated and surreal.

Solution

We built the brand around the concept of magical realism. Each country in the product line was illustrated with intricate, dreamlike imagery — a surreal blend of native flora and fauna, layered perspectives, and nonlinear compositions. These artworks capture both the essence of each origin and the poetic abstraction of memory.

The visual identity rests on contrast: a refined serif logotype with leaflike terminals paired with natural textures, muted tones, and gold foil details — used selectively to highlight moments of discovery, like finding treasure in the landscape. The result is a tactile, emotionally resonant packaging system that balances storytelling with precision.

The slogan, “Choose Your Story”, reinforces the experiential nature of the product — a curated adventure, rooted in place, crafted for the senses.
