About

Hilights is a production company creating unique, large-scale concepts in new media. Their works are built on controlled ambiguity, encouraging each viewer to interpret and complete the experience in their own way. Every project is crafted to spark curiosity and leave no one indifferent.

Challenge

The studio approached us with a clear request: to redesign their identity for the European market. The goal was to appear relevant, conceptual, and contemporary—without losing their original voice. The new identity needed to reflect the experimental nature of their work while remaining flexible and simple enough to scale.

Solution

The foundation of the identity lies in a visual metaphor of dots—echoing both the “hi” greeting and the idea of something unsaid. The new symbol H: acts like the beginning of a sentence, an open invitation to imagine what comes next. These dots function like visual breadcrumbs or fragments of light in space—small signals of a story that’s still unfolding.

The logotype plays with what’s visible and what’s missing, turning absence into expression. We used this logic across all applications: from printed matter to digital formats, allowing for constant reinterpretation without losing coherence. The system is minimal by design, but rich in meaning—just like the studio’s projects.
